Automat Burger with cheese and bacon

£14 with fries. Add £1 for bacon or cheese. Or, for £16 you could get two better burgers from somewhere else. File under "Don't bother"

When I recently spied Automat listed in a reputable publication's feature entitled "London's 10 Best Burgers", I added it to the Burgerac Burger Hit List. Having now tried one, I've added Automat to the Burgerac Burger Shit List...

Miles Kirby #BurgerMonday Caravan Burger

Yet again, a one-off #BurgerMonday burger delivers a flavour sensation above and beyond expectation and earns a full five star rating

Ed's Easy Diner Big Bubba

£6.75 + £2.80 for fries. Admit it, you forgot all about Ed's Easy Diner, didn't you? The Big Bubba remains one of my favourite London burgers

I absolutely love Ed's Easy Diner. I've got a particular fondness of the one in Soho that occupies a cake-wedge shaped building on the corner of Old Compton Street and Moor Street. I've never had a bad experience in there, always good vibes and great no-nonsense burgers...

The Bedford (NYC) Pasture Raised Burger

$15 with fries. The reviews have raved about this Williamsburg resto, so hopes were high for its burger. But it failed to deliver. Big time.

Williamsburg's farm-to-table restaurant The Bedford has received rave reviews for its burger (and just about everything else) since opening in the summer of 2010. The brainchild of former Craft sous-chef Blake Joyal, The Bedford's pasture-raised burger comes smothered in melted Gorgonzola and topped with bacon and grilled red onions, served up with a stack of crispy fries...

Jamie's Italian (Birmingham) Burger Italiano

£14.40 with fries. It's expensive but looks great. AND it's rumoured to be better than the burger in Jamie's Barbecoa restaurant...

For his first Burgerac review, Mayor McCheese visited Jamie's Italian whilst in Birmingham the other day, having heard good things about the so-called Burger Italiano... It's undoubtedly a feast for the eyes, but how did his taste buds respond?

Rivington Grill (Shoreditch) Beef Burger

£11 (with cheese and chips). Just when you think you've tasted London's finest burger, you go and find a tastier one. 6 out of 5!

Wowzers. I’d heard good things about the burger at Rivington Grill in Shoreditch but I wasn’t prepared for just how delicious their burger actually is. It’s SO ridiculously good that I just had to make contact with head chef Simon Wadham – to grill him on the finer points of his awesome creation...

Diner (NYC) Grass-Fed Burger

$13 with fries. A slammin' burger butchered to perfection at Brooklyn's non-diner Diner.
Meat lovers, this is a top notch burger...
