The Love Shake Cheeseburger

This isn’t going to compete with the Bar Bouluds of this world on the gourmet end of the scales, but at £4 this is a cheap and cheerful option.
Guess who's back burger-maniacs? Yes, that’s right, it’s me, Cheeseblogger! After a short absence due to a minor overdose of the yellow stuff, I’m back – leaner than ever, though still shrouded in both mystery and cheeeese – to offer you more insight into London’s burger scene...

David Meldrum's Daily Food Drawings

Illustrator David Meldrum has been documenting all the food he's been eating on a daily basis since the 15th of June last year. However, his documentation hasn't taken the form of a blog, but rather a series of A3 daily drawings...

Roebling Tea Room (NYC) Cheeseburger

Whether an off night or a new look for its classic burger, Roebling's infamous patty didn't add up at $15 for a hunk of mostly raw beef

On a rainy night in Brooklyn, I recently weathered the storm with a few friends to settle in at the super quaint Roebling Tea Room in Williamsburg, hoping for an awesome burger experience...

Meat Water Cheese Burger drink

It's no secret that Burgerac loves a cheeseburger. But that doesn't mean I want a cheese burger flavour drink. Ever!

Spuntino Ground Beef & Bone Marrow "Slider"

£4.50 - but you'll want at least three of these mini burgers. They're super delicious and you won't find a cooler Soho spot than Spuntino

Typical. Some friends from out of town come to visit and totally show you up by taking you to the hippest fucking place in town to sit around eating (mini) burgers. Oh the shame! Thankfully, rather than be all smug about their impressive nose for a good burger in a city they don't even live in, Bren and Richard (from Dublin) ordered me a beer and a slider on them. What gents!

Limited edition Byron burger: Royale with Cheese

This isn't a review, merely a heads up that this Friday (tomorrow) London restaurant chain Byron will launch a new limited edition burger across it's various branches "to celebrate the forthcoming wedding of Wills and Kate"...

HIX Ground Rib Steak Burger (2nd visit)

£15.75. Despite a seriously lacklustre bun and overcooked bacon, this burger STILL manages to be one of London's finest. Truly remarkable!

I first tried a HIX burger back in December last year (read that, the very first review to be posted on Burgerac, here) so in the interest of keeping things current, I thought I'd best give it another try...

The Commodore (NYC) Cheeseburger

$7 with cheese. Add $4 for a huge plate of crispy fries. A succulent burger from Brooklyn's easiest, breeziest, down-home Southern joint

Like a vacation for your mouth, The Commodore's juicy burger arrives with an appropriately festive miniature umbrella on top of its buttery bun...

Whoop Ass Chipotle Barbeque Sauce

How could I resist the charms of this gun-totin' stetson-wearing chipotle barbeque sauce packaging? In short, I couldn't – despite the fact that this bottle o'sauce cost a spicy £7. But what the heck, this ain't just sauce, this is pop art folks!

Joe Allen Burger with cheese and bacon

£8.50 with cheese and bacon. It's not the most beautifully presented plate of food you'll ever see. But it's so damn pleasing, who cares?

I've lived in London for 17 years and I've only recently had the distinct pleasure of discovering Joe Allen's off-menu burger. And what an absolute joy it is!
