Lazy Oaf Mac Attack Badge Pack and Tote Bag

It's no secret that the guys at the Lazy Oaf store love a burger. Now you too can wear your heart on your sleeve (or lapel) in the form of these burger and fries badges...

Lionel Lévy #BurgerMonday BLT Provençale

"What the heck is that?" you may well ask. That, dear readers, is Lionel Lévy's #BurgerMonday concept BLT Provençale Burger. It's awesome...

This week's BurgerMonday proved to be yet another another resounding culinary triumph, this time featuring a highly original and unorthodox approach to the burger devised by Michelin starred chef Lionel Lévy from Marseille...

Burger & Fries salt and pepper shakers

I was having a mooch in design store SCP in Shoreditch the other day and spotted these super cute ceramic salt and pepper shakers. Want, want, want! I would have bought some right there and then if my forward-thinking missus hadn't pointed out that my birthday's coming up in a couple of weeks. Sweet!

The Cellar Bar at Alfred Dunhill Hamburger

£12 with triple cooked chips and tomato relish. Below-the-radar but a leafy courtyard and a top notch burger makes this place a real winner

Being a good detective is partly about having good sources and following up leads. Fortunately (for me, and now, dear readers, for you) my friend Alison told me about the burger at The Cellar Bar at Alfred Dunhill's Bourdon House, tucked away in sunny Mayfair, just down the road from Claridges yet seemingly a million miles from the hustle and bustle of nearby Oxford Street. "Ooh, they do a really good burger," said Alison. "I'll be the judge of that," I replied. So we met up for lunch last week to investigate said burger...

Richard Turner #BurgerMonday Gray's Inn Burger

Burger Monday raises the burger bar yet again, this time with Hawksmoor chef Richard Turner of The East London Steak Co at the helm...

Having just posted (yesterday) about not particularly enjoying the two Hawksmoor burgers I've had to date, I'm now rather delighted to be in a position to heap Hawksmoor chef Richard Turner with five-star burger praise – because on Monday evening, he served up an outstanding burger, sandwiched between two other top notch courses, at the latest Burger Monday event...

Hawksmoor Hamburger

£15. Burgerac loves burgers – duh! So imagine my disappointment to find that my taste buds just don't "get" the burgers at Hawksmoor. Gutted
Now don't get me wrong. I've spent two wonderful evenings this year in Hawksmoor's subterranean Seven Dials restaurant – the interior of which is thankfully more Wayne Manor than bat cave. But on both occasions, the burger I ordered paled into insignificance next to the other wonderful treats on the table.

Ed Bing Lee's knotted macramé Burger

Burger II, 2006
Waxed linen, linen, cotton, raffia. 5 x 5 x 5"

Regular readers may recall the crocheted burgers created by Joy Kampia O'Shell which we blogged about back in February. Well check this out - a knotted (not knitted) burger by artist Ed Bing Lee, one of a series of food-inspired sculptural pieces...

You'll know when you've been "Burgeracked"

That's right, I've got a calling card. If you find one of these left upon a vacated table in your restaurant, you'll know that I've been snooping around in my hunt for the perfect burger. If you don't already know, the artwork is by the very talented Jon Boam. Right, I've got some burgers to investigate. As you were.

The Riding House Street Café Titchfield Burger

£13.90. The Titchfield Burger includes a layer of foie gras and red onion marmalade. The burger itself, alas, is a bit of a meatball...

The third venture from the team behind Village East and The GarrisonThe Riding House Café is a new café / restaurant / bar on the corner of Riding House Street and Great Titchfield Street which opened about a month ago. The interior is kind of New York warehouse meets Shoreditch House - in a good way. It's actually pretty cool and despite looking like a swanky members club, the friendly and attentive staff make it feel really relaxed...

Bistro du Vin Burger with Relish and Fries

£14.50 all in. There's much here to be VERY excited about. The ingredients are top notch but the architecture needs a bit more thought...

It's only been open for three weeks, but already the Bistro du Vin on St John Street (practically next door to St. JOHN Bar and Restaurant) is doing a roaring trade. I popped along to prop up the shiny bar and see how its burger offering shapes up...

BIF #3: Hambuster

Hitherto on Burgerac, we've posted clips from Falling Down and Pulp Fiction which feature or mention burgers. But in this short animated film called Hambuster, we've found a film that doesn't just mention burgers in passing. Oh dear me no. In Hambuster, burgers form the central pillar of a frankly terrifying plot...

Über cool style site, Mr Porter (brother site to Net-A-Porter) approached David Myers, chef and owner of LA restaurant Comme Ça to create a feature entitled How To Make a Mean Burger – which has been beautifully illustrated by Anje Jager...

Opera Tavern Ibérico Pork and Foie Gras Burger

£5.50 This is a tapas place and the burgers are mini. But they, like every other dish I sampled, are spectacularly good. Waiter, more please!

Man cannot live on beef alone (believe me, I've tried), so I decided to investigate the mini Ibérico pork and foie gras burgers at the recently opened Opera Tavern in Covent Garden – on the suggestion of my well informed friend, Steph...

Kirsten's Awesome Burger Cupcakes

A friend of mine, Kirsten, showed me these photos the other day and I just had to share them here on the blog. Yes, it's a burger cupcake – complete with cookie fries on the side!
