Fred Smith at The Admiral Codrington in Chelsea has done it again: He's cooked up another totally amazing "special" burger that will be served at lunchtime only from Tuesday 10th to Thursday 19th April. It features two mustard fried patties and cheese of Fred's own concoction. It's VERY good!
It's difficult to describe just how awesome Fred's Double Cheese Stack is, and that's mostly to do with the depth of flavour provided by his own cheesy concoction that is made in a similar way to a rarebit - but with totally different ingredients.
Into the melting pot go a host of cheeses and savoury flavours that include parmesan rind, the sweat of a few shallots, and the melted fat of Alsace bacon. Once perfected, the hot melty cheese is spread out between two sheets of greaseproof paper and cooled to form cheese slices.
I don't really want to give any more details away or spoil the fun of tasting one of these incredible burgers for yourself. But hurry. Due to the complexity of making them, Fred's only going to cook these very special double cheeseburgers during lunchtimes for a short while. Don't sleep, get involved!

Damn that looks delicious!
Does it constitute one of your five-a-day?
"will be served at lunchtime only next week from Tuesday 10th"
Er, just want to double check, is it not served now? Considering that you've written this post
@Deniz I was privy to an advance tasting - one of the perks of being London's premier burger detective ;) As I wrote in the post, the Double Cheese Stack will be on the specials board at the Ad Cod from Tuesday next week
